Why Company Branding Matters

Why Company Branding Matters

When simply searching, ‘What is a Company Logo’ the response is; A logo is a symbol or design used to identify. It's how your company is recognized and remembered among others. But, a logo is so much more than that! A well designed logo gives a sense of place, time and even emotion. Those elements are enhanced by the basics of font choices, colors, spacing, symbols, illustrations etc.

Branding That Speaks to YOU

PLACE

Being able to identify a company’s location is often one of the goals of a brand, but that does not mean you always need ‘Missoula’ in your company name. Other location identifying features can be used in your company name or in the brand mark. This can be bold or subtle while getting a similar response.

TIME

Do you own a Speakeasy trying to remake the 20’s or a modern construction company building high-end custom homes of the future? Either way your logo should evoke a sense of time or timelessness to achieve your intended feeling.

EMOTION

Utilizing emotion helps a viewer get a sense of what your company is all about. A preschool is more likely to have a bright and colorful brand that screams excitement than an Attorney who is probably looking for something more professional and trustworthy.

A Brand is More Than a Logo

IT COVERS EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR MARKETING

EXTERNAL

This is the outward facing marketing that a potential customer sees. Not only is a trustworthy feeling important, but so is consistency. Is your external marketing doing what you need it to?

INTERNAL

Internal marketing can be two things. 1. Marketing to your current clients/customers, 2. Marketing within your company for employees to know how to reference and use the brand as intended. Both are important aspects to keep your brand consistent.
